So much to address…

I know we said we would talk about hand maintenance and I promise you we still will, however, there are just a few things that need to be discussed. First of all, a big shot out goes to everyone who competed in the Olympic Lifting competition at the Bay State Games. Rachel won first place in her weight class. Angelo placed second in
his weight class. Coach Justin placed third in his weight class. It was a very long event, but it was great to see so many lifters compete. Amongst the crowd, Vasily Polovnikov, put an exhibition for the crowd and performed a Clean and Jerk at 484 pounds. It is
certainly a lot of weight, but in perspective, your average refrigerator weighs just over 200 lbs. So put one fridge full of food on each end of the bar and then you have an idea of what took place in that lift.
